MySplit ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, how it is stored, and the choices available to you regarding your information when you use the MySplit mobile application.
We do not sell your personal information, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Google Drive and Google Workspace Data
When you choose to use Google Drive integration within MySplit, the application may access information associated with Google Drive files that you create or use with MySplit.
This may include:
MySplit uses the Google Drive drive.file authorization scope. This allows MySplit to access only the specific Google Drive files that you create or open with MySplit, rather than providing unrestricted access to your entire Google Drive.
MySplit does not intentionally access unrelated files in your Google Drive.
Your information is used only to provide the functionality of MySplit.
Google Drive and Google Workspace information is used only to provide the Google Drive features that you request.
MySplit follows a local-first architecture. Application data is stored locally on your device and synchronized with cloud services.
Because group information is shared, copies of expenses, settlements, balances, activities, and attachments may also exist on devices belonging to other members of the same group.
Users are responsible for protecting access to their own devices. The developer cannot control, monitor, retrieve, or be responsible for information that has already been synchronized to another user's device.
The developer cannot provide legal or technical proof regarding information stored locally on another user's device.
Your information is shared only as required to provide the normal functionality of MySplit.
Google Drive and Google Workspace Integration
MySplit may integrate with Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets to allow users to create, access, manage, and share files used within MySplit group resources.
When you choose to use Google Drive integration, MySplit requests access only to the specific Google Drive files that you create or use with MySplit. MySplit does not request unrestricted access to your Google Drive.
Depending on the feature you use, MySplit may access information such as the file name, file ID, file URL, file type, and other information required to display or manage the selected file. MySplit may also create Google Docs or Google Sheets files and manage their sharing permissions when you request those actions.
Google Drive files remain stored in your Google Drive account. MySplit may store the necessary file reference information, such as the Google Drive file ID and URL, so that the file can be displayed and managed within the application.
When you choose to share a Google Drive resource with members of a MySplit group, MySplit may use Google Drive sharing permissions to provide those members with the access level you select, such as viewing or editing. The file remains the same Google Drive file and is not copied into separate accounts by MySplit.
MySplit uses Google user data only to provide the Google Drive features requested by the user. Google user data obtained through Google APIs is not sold, used for advertising, or used for purposes unrelated to providing or improving the requested MySplit functionality.
MySplit does not access unrelated Google Drive files that are outside the files made available to the application through the Google Drive integration.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
MySplit stores cloud data using:
Google Drive files used with MySplit remain stored in the user's Google Drive account. MySplit stores only the information necessary to reference and provide functionality for those resources within the application.
Google user data obtained through Google APIs is not sold or used for advertising.
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are implemented to protect your information during storage and transmission based on the developer's knowledge and available resources.
Security practices may continue to improve in future releases as new technologies become available.
However, no software system, cloud platform, mobile device, or method of electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. By using MySplit, you acknowledge and accept these inherent risks.
MySplit relies on Google Firebase services and Google Drive services for certain cloud functionality. While these services provide security features, the developer cannot guarantee protection against failures, outages, or security incidents affecting third-party infrastructure.
Users have the right to request deletion of their MySplit account and associated personal information.
Current deletion method
Account deletion is currently handled manually by the developer. A self-service account deletion feature may be introduced in a future version of the application.

Google Drive data
Google Drive files are stored in the user's Google Drive account and are not owned or stored by MySplit. Deleting your MySplit account does not automatically delete Google Drive files that you created or shared through MySplit.
You can manage or delete those Google Drive files directly from your Google Drive account.
MySplit may remove stored references to Google Drive resources associated with your MySplit account when your account deletion request is processed.
Shared group records
MySplit is a collaborative expense-sharing application. Expenses, settlements, activities, balances, and attachments may form part of the shared history of a group and may be required to preserve the integrity and consistency of records for other group members.
For this reason, shared records may continue to exist after your account has been deleted. Where such records are retained, your personally identifiable information, including your name, email address, and phone number, will be removed or anonymized where reasonably possible.
If you wish to permanently remove shared expenses or their attachments, you should delete those records before requesting account deletion, where permitted by the application.

Verified account deletion requests are normally processed within 7 days.
MySplit is not intended for children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. When significant changes require renewed acceptance, the updated version will be presented within the application before continued use.
